InfantSEE
We are one of the proud providers of the InfantSEE program that is managed by the American Optometric Association Foundation. We provide a comprehensive vision assessment for infants under twelve months of age regardless of a family’s income or access to insurance.
What does the exam entail?
Visual Acuity
- Checking for ability to fixate on a target and follow
- Checking for ability to differentiate between finer gratings on a card
Ocular Motility
- Checking for movement of his/her eyes to all gazes with no restrictions
Alignment/Binocular Potential
- Using targets such as a penlight to check the alignments of your baby’s eyes
- Checking for eye turns
Refractive Status
Objectively check your baby’s refraction
Eye Health
- With or without dilation to check the health of the front and back of the eye
Pupil Evaluation
Visual Field Assessment
- Checking if there is any major loss of visual field
